From the showroom to the mobile app: the Boga collection of the artisan company that has evolved into increasingly cutting-edge interior design projects since the 1940s.
The City of Lights was the theme of the Salone del Mobile 2023: the idea of a city, Milan, which lights up and sheds light on a whole new world, and which at a certain point is populated by men, because we know the essence of every city is the souls of those who live there, the man at the center of everything. This is the story told by Habitare with the HABITARE.HOMINI.HOME collection presented during the exhibition event at Boga Space during the Design Week, curated by the Boga Brothers of Habitare, not just a furniture company but a real "boutique of sartorial projects" which has always interpreted the desires of those who want to create their own "kingdom" in which to recognize themselves, and whose mantra has always been "Habitare Art, the Art of Habitare", testifying to the strong union between art and furnishings that characterize the company
In fact, the heart of the HABITARE.HOMINI.HOME exhibition – three words that summarize the company and the three Boga brothers – are precisely the Homini, particular artistic sculptures and unique and functional furnishing accessories born from the creativity of the Boga family, protagonists of a 'experience where art and digital merge into a single story. The collection, after having come to life both physically and also in virtual reality thanks to Particle, an innovative company that works at the intersection between art and technology and which, thanks to its mobile app, will allow the public to enter directly into the work and discover its history and that of Habitare.
Particle has in fact developed a mobile app to put experiences in your pocket, augmenting them through digital interactions and multimedia stories accessible anywhere and at any time: by downloading the app (www.particle.art/appmobile) you can immerse yourself directly in the universe Inhabit and, through intense digital storytelling, you will discover the history of the company and the Boga family and the three brothers - Felice, Fausto, and Cesare - and you will enter the world of "Homini" through an immersive journey made of sounds, images, videos and interactions in augmented reality.
The Homini fully represent the company's philosophy: that is, creating furnishing elements that are true works of art to fit perfectly and functionally into all environments. The Homini tell stories of daily vicissitudes, everyday moments, news, history, life, in which man is always at the center of everything, he is the observer but also the protagonist and narrator. The Homino represents a new way of furnishing where the work of art becomes a unique furnishing element, a future therefore understood as a new way of enjoying art and design.
The man who returns to the center of everything, even in the simplest objects: armchair, photo frame, lamp, valet stand, Chanel mannequin, coat hanger, selfie bench and many others are the functional declinations of the Homini collection which also alternate with evocative sculptures of stories and characters such as the particular sculpture - the Homino Genitori on board two real Solex motorbikes, the Homino Climber, the Homino Elvis, the Homino Mahatma, the Homino Socrates, the Homino Famiglia Moderna: each Homino observes the visitor and shows, through its shape and its dynamism, its character and then fills and integrates with that of the observer.
